Words:
God of the past and God of the future
Be thou our God this present day.
Others have built as we are now building.
Help us to build in your way.
Ever sustaining, lead your church on.
All who are Christians help make it strong.
Following Jesus, guided by grace,
All will reach your glory!
Mothers with mothers, fathers and grandfathers,
All those who know and love the Lord,
Children and parents, neighbors with neighbors,
Share their lives spreading God's word.
Ever becoming, Christians march on,
Never perfected, moving along,
Never completed, walking by grace,
They will reach God's glory!.
Christians before us, Christians to follow us:
Now is our time to march in this line.
Strengthened by saints, surrounded by witnesses,
We go forth bearing God's sign.
Moment by moment, day after day,
Following Christ each step of the way.
Serving the Master, lifted by grace,
I will reach God's glory!
