This hymn was written during worship at Pilgrim Christian Church one
September Sunday in 2000.
I brought in the hymn tune—newly minted that morning—and some words.
I provided the burden line used by all verses and verse one as an example. During the
sermon time we broke into groups. Scripture was read and then while the music was
being played over and over, the groups finished off versed of their own. The results
are here.
We did this again a couple of years later and the results were Come and Worship.
