General hymn written for the sole reason of fiddling with the chord progression
at the end and throwing Mozart's fifths in. It probably should have a third, Spirit verse to fill out trinitarian traditions. But then I was never much of a trinitarian. But I did like putting in parallel fifths with impunity!

Words:
The God of past and future, too, is in our midst today
The God who heard the people's cries still hears us when we pray.
The God who walked with Israel in Sinai's barren sand
Is the God who leads us on the quest to find our promised land.
When Jesus walked upon the earth proclaiming hope and peace,
He taught of a kingdom in our midst and life that will not cease.
To the rich and poor, to the weak and strong on the shores of Galilee
Christ raised the call that is heard by all, "Rise up and follow me."
