A pipers romp for Christmas or any time of year. The score does not have a
flute part at this point, but it's an easy improvisation to give it a middle-eastern
flair. Add a doumbek and tamborine and maybe some more percussion if you like.
A little bit of a patter song, too!

Lyrics:
Hear the pipes from high on the hills,
they're calling!
Shepherd's pipes are calling the joy of
birth.
They call, "A babe was born in Bethlehem town
And great
choirs of angels sang he was Messiah
And we'd have peace on Earth!"
Hear the Baptist out in the wild, he's calling!
John cries out,
"Repent of your evil ways!"
"O people leave your house and come to
the stream
Be washed of your sins. You can face your
tomorrows
Forgiven, filled with praise!"
Jesus teaches us from the mount, he's calling!
Teaching us the
Kindom of God's at hand.
"The kingdom comes by night, you won't know
the hour
So preach the good news, grant release to the
captives,
Do justice in your land."
Feel the spirit dancing inside, it's calling!
Whirling,
swirling, giddy with holy flame.
Divine fire fills our souls, we
welcome its warmth:
God calls us to justice and service and beauty
and
Calls us by our names.
