_Chaos Mode_ by Piers Anthony,
_Paths of Glory_ by Jeffrey Archer, _The Far Side of the World_ by Patrick
O'Brian and, much to the embarrassment of Nora, _Size 12 Is Not Fat_ by Meg
Cabot. And when I got back to Milwaukee, the rest of the Aubrey/Maturin series
was waiting. Ahoy.
_Paul of Dune_ by Brian Herbert
and Kevin Anderson and _Persuader_ by Lee Child. _Persuader_ is still a great
ride, even if the shocking start isn't as shocking the second time around. And
revisiting Dune, even in a fairly pedestrian way, brings back good memories.
_The Theory of Everything: The
Origin and Fate of the Universe_ by Stephen Hawking only to discover that it is
an unauthorized compilation of materials that he tried to have quashed and is
covered in other writings. Sorry, Steve. I promise I'll forget everything...
_A Walk in the Woods_ by Bill
Bryson and _The Witch's Boy_ by Michael Gruber. Stephen Hawking now--the book
includes an audio disk. Could be interesting...
_Treason's Harbour_ by Patrick
O'Brian, _Silverwing_ by Kenneth Oppel, and _Hatchet_ by Gary Paulson. On to
some Bill Bryson!
