_Once Upon a Time in the North_
by Phillip Pullman. I'm thinking a revisit to _His Dark Materials_ may be
called for. Or at least a reading of Book 2 of "Paradise Lost"
_A Plague of Secrets_ by John
Lescroart. Is it me, or is Dismas Hardy getting more Perry Mason with each
outing? And Wyatt Hunt revealing Paul Drake's secret life?
_Hook & Jill_ by Andrea
Jones. Yes, Andrea, finally...I had
misplaced you on my poetry shelf between Rumi and Spenser. That somehow actually seemed appropriate for the telling of an adventure tale, while familiar in it's outlines, morphed into something else and taught, like Rumi, a gospel of passion...
finished _Rebel_ by Bernard Cornwell
_Taran Wanderer_ and _The High King_ by Lloyd Alexander and _Gone Tomorrow_ by Lee Child. If Prince Gwydion had Jack Reacher at his side, it would have ended up so much better for them.
_The Run_ by Stuart Woods and _The Scarecrow_ by Michael Connelly.
_The Black Cauldron_ and _The Castle of Llyr_ by Lloyd Alexander on audio. Also the Teaching Company lecture series, _The Story of the Bible_ by Luke Timothy Johnson. Some of the tales of
developing canon, I knew, others not. Interesting.
