Lyrics
Shepherd, by still waters lead me;
In green pastures let me lie.
Guide my feet upon safe pathways,
Hear my feeble, plaintive sigh.
When I wander into danger,
Into darkest night or fear,
Shepherd, in thy tender mercy
Call my name, and I will hear.
Shepherd, in Thy tender mercy
Call my name, and I will hear.
I will seek Thy fold and shelter
In the shadow of Thy grace.
I will feel the warmth of welcome
In Thy secret hiding place.
Sometimes I'll grow weak and weary
In my journey's trying hour,
But new strength will be my portion
By Thy love and by Thy grace.
Yes, new strength will be my portion
By Thy love and by Thy grace.
When the enemy reviles me,
And I'm beaten down in pain,
By Thy rod wilt Thou defend me,
And I'll rise with strength again.
Shepherd, by still waters lead me
`Til my earthly race is though.
Then within Thy fold eternal
Furnish me with life anew.
Then within Thy fold eternal
Furnish me with life anew.
