Tripwire -- Lee Child
Audio. Amazon.com Review Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is lying low in Key West, digging up swimming pools by hand. Die Trying -- Lee Child
Audio. Read by Dick Hill. Second Reacher book. I listened several years ago to an abridged version of this and boy did I miss a chunk of story. They must have done a good job of the abridgement, though, as I don't remember noticing the lack. Some inconsistencies with later Reacher--for example, have...

Betrayal -- John Lescroart
Audio. Read by David Collucci. Latest Dismas Hardy et al opus. Most of the story though is pre-Dis: Dismas ends up inheriting the appeal of a soldier convicted of murdering a military contractor once they return to the States.

Don't Look Down -- Jennifer Cruisie and Bob Mayer
Audio. Read by Patrick G Lawlor & Renee Raudman. Mostly romance with light-weight thriller themes. Lucy Armstrong is called in to finish the last four days of direction for a movie that doesn't make sense. Of course it involves Irish terrorists, Russian mobsters, ex-spouses, cute kids and a one...

The Romanov Prophecy -- Steve Berry
Steve Berry's second book. Actually, it was written earlier, I think, than The Amber Room , but published second. Overall, I think I like it better, though it's clear that he didn't really hit his stride until Cotton Malone came along.

The Overlook -- Michael Connelly
Audio. Read by Len Cariou. Harry Bosch is now in RHD instead of Open Unsolved and takes on his first case...solving it in about 12 hours while confounding the feds. Disappointingly short and simple, although with one solid twist, this isn't up to previous Bosch standards. Rachel Walling seemed along...

Running Blind -- Lee Child
Audio. Read by Dick Hill. Jack Reacher is brought in (kicking and screaming) to help investigate serial killings that included a couple of women he knew back in the army. ... Having narrated all of this author's thrillers about an ex-military police officer, Dick Hill is Jack Reacher, and it's...

Death of a Citizen -- Donald Hamilton
The first Matt Helm book. I read a number of these about 25 years ago and really enjoyed them, so I decided to return to the first of the series and see if it's held up. It has. The setting and attitudes threaten to become historical set-pieces now, but the descent of Helm from a writer/photographer...
